Farewell to Coach Philip on His Final Club Run

Thursday night’s club run was a memorable occasion for Alton Runners as members gathered to bid farewell to Coach Philip Scrase on his final run with the club. Meeting at The White Hart in Holybourne—one of Philip’s favourite spots and this month’s TTT (Third Thirsty Thursday) venue—there was a fantastic turnout as runners came together to show their appreciation for everything he has done over the years.

After the run, the group returned to The White Hart, where Philip was presented with a signed Alton Runners shirt as a token of the club’s gratitude. The shirt, filled with personal messages from members, symbolised the impact Philip has had on the club and its community. Philip has been a vital part of Alton Runners.

Although Philip is moving away, the friendships and memories he has created within the club will endure. Alton Runners wish him every success in this next chapter and look forward to seeing him at races in the future.

From all of us at Alton Runners:
Thank you, Philip, for everything you’ve done. You’ll always be part of the Alton Runners family!
